Two meetings of the highest class, at Newbury and Leopardstown, await punters today.

Warwick 1.30 WIN

Champion jockey Tony McCoy has one or two interesting mounts at Newbury’s big meeting today. But before then, significantly, he is at Warwick for a couple of very winnable rides, including this progessive mare trained by Nicky Henderson. A lovely-looking sort, she was bought for 130,000 euros from France and showed her class when landing a hot listed race at Newbury’s Hennessy meeting, finishing a close second. Although she was turned over when getting stuck in heavy ground at Taunton last time, today’s slight rise in trip is expected to help her return to the winner’s enclosure.
