Notts: Deadline is looming for chance to apply for County Council funding

Future sporting stars and sports clubs have until next week to bid for funding from Notts County Council .

Community Sports Fund grants of £500 to £1,500 (or £1,000 for clubs without Club Mark status) are available for clubs to support projects to encourage more people to take part or retain and develop existing members.

Funding is also available for costs such as coaching fees, facility hire, equipment and publicity costs for projects starting after October 2014.

Meanwhile, rising starts grant of up to £400 are available for individual sportspeople aged 19 and under, competing at a regional or national level.

Funding is available for expenses such as travel, training, accommodation, competition fees, equipment, coaching and other specialist support.

Applicants must live in Notts (not the city of Nottingham) and compete in a sport recognised by Sport England.

The closing date for applications is Tuesday, 22nd July.
