Westwood knocked off top spot

Have your say

LEE Westwood’s Ryder Cup team-mate has knocked him off the top of the golfing world.

Germany’s Martin Kaymer was runner-up in the WGC Match Play Championship in Arizona on Sunday, and that finish was enough to make him the new world number one.

It was England’s Luke Donald who triumphed in the match play competition, with Westwood dumped out in the second round by America Nick Watney.

The Worksop man is back in action this week at the Honda Classic in America, and has confirmed he will play in the Indonesian Masters next month.
