Worksop’s Lee Westwood is back in his native country this week, vying for the BMW PGA Championship title at Wentworth.

The 41-year-old lost in a play-off to fellow Ryder Cup hero Luke Donald at this tournament back in 2011, and last year finished in a share of 35th as the event suffered from weather delays.

The Worksop Golf Club export took the opportunity to spend some time with his family this week, and visited Gainsborough Golf Club for a PING golf day.

Before the real action starts on Thursday at 8.25am, Westwood took part in the pro-am with Alan Shearer, Pat Jennings and Dec Donnelly.
