Sunday saw the end of an era for Welbeck Abbey, the final game of the season and the annual closing of the green.
The weather kept dry and 36 players took to the field.
Before play commenced vice chairman Brian Morgan announced that Jean Anderson had decided to put away her tea pot after a 40-year association with the club, providing tea, coffee and orange juice for all.
In appreciation the club presented Jean with a bouquet of flowers.
The last game of the season was won by Andy Pointon before the vice chairman declared the green closed and thanked the members for their contributions to the season.
Work will now start to prepare the ground for 2015.
