The Misfits and Joggers go to the wire

In the David Hooton Trophy for Worksop Table Tennis Division One sides, Manton Misfits and DTH Redlands Joggers went right to the wire.

The Joggers started 77 in front but the Misfits soon wiped that out as Kalpesh Bhatt beat Lewis Comley, Ian Henderson beat Matthew Mudd, Bhatt and Kerry Harvey defeated Muddand Lea Dickinson in the doubles and Henderson beat Dickinson.

Wins for Dickinson over Bhatt and Mudd over Harvey left the match delicately poised, the Misfits ahead by seven going into the doubles between Bhatt and Henderson and Dickinson and Comley.

The Misfits took the first game 21-12 and despite Dickinson and Comley winning the next 21-16 it wasn’t enough, the Misfits winning 491-480.
