Sheffield Steelers have signed a former Cardiff Devils fan favourite as short term cover for their forward line.
Devin DiDiomete has signed an initial short term contract, to replace the suspended Tyler Mosienko.
Mosienko will miss the first five games of the season, after the IIHF banned him for match fixing.
Steelers head coach Gerad Adams was only too happy to link up once again with DiDiomete who he coached in Cardiff two seasons ago.
He said: “I think we will see a very different Deeds.”
“He isn’t the player I had two years ago.”
“Following his spell in Cardiff he played in the American League, the Swedish Elite League and also put up good numbers in Italy.”
“This short term arrangement works for us both, he knows our situation with the Mosienko suspension and he is looking to showcase himself in Europe.”
