Sheffield Steelers must decide if they’re going to contend for the 2014/15 Elite League title, when they face off against their rivals Nottingham Panthers this weekend.

Saturday sees the Steelers host their foes at the Motorpoint Arena at 7pm, in a game that could go a long way towards deciding if Gerad Adams’ men will remain in the title race.

He said: ““I think the message all week in training has been that we have to decide if we want to be in this title race or not.”

“As a group we have to perform better than we have against Nottingham, we have to win the game.”

“We owe them a performance. We have played so well at times this year but not against them.”

“So on Saturday I want them to see the real Steelers.”

“Do that and I am confident that this team, this club can win the game and kick on for the remainder of the season.”

“We are still in all three competitions and I don’t know if anyone would swap positions with us.”

“Every game is huge and this one is no different – we are at the business end of the year and it’s time we delivered.”
