Steelers are ready, says Munn

SHEFFIELD Steelers are ready for what may be a make or break game for their Elite League title hopes, tonight at a sold out IceSheffield.

Steelers, top of the league table, take on the Belfast Giants, who sit one point behind with a game in hand, this evening in the biggest game of the Elite League calendar.

Defenceman Steve Munn knows what it takes to win league titles, having clinched championships in the AHL, ECHL and the EIHL.

He said Steelers were well prepared for tonight’s big clash.

“It’s still in our own hands though we have let things slip in the last three games,” he said.

“This is a tough league and most nights you are in a battle especially when you’re the first place club. We just got away from doing the things we had been doing all season long.”

“We know the importance of tonight and tonight it’s about how we play.”

“We practised really well on Tuesday, we all know that for us to be successful we have to be physical, we have to engage the Belfast side. We can’t be passive. This is a game for a season, for a championship in many ways. We are ready, we know how to win.”
