Seaman launches assault for world pool honours

Worksop sharpshooter Kevin Seaman has this week launched his assault for honours at the World Blackball Pool Championships.

The eight-day tournament, held in Bridlington, began on Tuesday (20th November) and will see Seaman go up against the world’s best pool players.

Seaman is in tip-top form ahead of the championships after a run of notable victories across the pool scene both regionally and nationally over the past two years.

At the world tournament this year, Seaman will aim to win back his seniors world singles title he won in 2012 and the world team event for England.

He has won the world’s doubles championship twice before, in 2012 and 2016.

Away from the world stage, Seaman has take the European singles title in 2017 and the national singles title twice in 2017 and 2018.

This year, he also won the biggest singles title in Nottinghamshire.

A spokesman for Nottinghamshire Blackball Pool said: “He’s in top form and a lot of it is down to his new sponsor, Mark Vincent Walker, of Mark Logistics Ltd who has sponsored Kevin over the last two years.

“He has been been on top form. Let’s hope Kev winning keeps going and wins world team title for England and the world singles and doubles for him.”
