The Maltby Memorial race attracted over 100 runners to a trail course of 6.3 miles, and a Clowne Road Runner finished in the top 10.

Peter Twigg recorded a time of 41:21, while Dennis Learad won the over 60s category in 49.54.

The Dambuster 10 mile Race is an annual run in Derwent Valley which raise funds for Challenge Cancer.

Clowne’s Wayne West finished in 67:27, while Michele Needham produced a personal best of 81:12, achieving a club bronze standard.

The Holymoorside 10km road race saw one of Clowne’s top lady runners make a return to competition after a serious arm fracture.

Louise Lowe ran 47:47 and won third female prize.

The popular 5km Park Runs saw three Clowne Runners competing at the Clumber Park course: 9th David Leese20:56, 10th Chris Lane21:16, 37th John Proffitt26:15.

At the Mansfield Park 5km event, Twigg finished in first place in a time of 18:35.

The Cressbrook Crawl 6.5mile Fell Race is a loop around the Wye Valley with 300m of ascent and Richard Hind finished 26th in 52:41.

The Wye Valley was the setting for the Buxworth 5 mile single lap course, where Dave Leese finished 46th in 37:10.
