Lee Westwood is in action close to home this weekend – his US home.
The Worksop golfer will be at the Honda Classic, at the PGA National Champion Course at Palm Beach Gardens in Florida, just down the road from his Old Palm Golf Club home.
The ‘home comfort’ certainly helped the 40-year-old last year when he finished with a share of ninth place in the tournament.
His best finish was fourth in 2012.
Westwood left his Darfoulds home in December 2012, before moving his family to Florida.
He hoped that the superior weather and the chance to practice during the winter would provide a boost in his attempts to win a first ever major, but he’s yet to win a tour title since relocating.
