Lee Westwood was left to rue five bogeys in his third round, as he slipped out of contention at CIMB Classic at Kuala Lumpur Golf and Country Club.
The Worksop golfer was tied for third after an even par first round and a sublime seven-under-par second round of 65.
Highlight of that second round was undoubtedly a 225-yard hole in hole at the par three 11th hole.
And things looked even better after five holes on Saturday, the 41-year-old moving to 10 under for the tournament.
But bogeys on five holes cost him dearly and he dropped back into a share of 18th place when he signed for a two over par 74.
After getting to the turn in par on Sunday, Westwood picked up four shots to secure a tie for 13th place and 56 FedEx Cup points.
This weekend the Florida resident is in China for the WGC HSBC Champions at Sheshan International Golf Club in Shanghai.
Westwood finished 55th at the event last year and sixth the previous year.
He tees off on Thursday from the 10th hole with Mikko Ilonen and Thongchai Jaidee.
