Grove Mill were confirmed as champions of Division Two last week following defeats for the main promotion rivals Langold Pocket and Tickhill B.

A 3-1 victory for Mill over Woodend Pub was good enough to seal the title in their first season back in the league.

James McNally, Mark Leone and Nick Wells were the winning trio, racking up the team’s 15th win of the season, quite clearly head and shoulders above the rest all season.

Tickhill B’s promotion chances now look slim following a costly 4-0 home defeat against Nigel McCarthy, Dale Duncanson, Drew Hartshorn and Glynn McCarthy of Longden Terrace.

Terrace moved into joint second with a game in hand over Langold Pocket who lost 3-1 to Dinnington A.

Darren Pyatt, Neil Procter and Mark Lancaster all won for Dinnington A throwing the second and third promotion places wide open with six teams seperated by only four points.

Other Results: Hodthorpe A 2-2 New Middle Club, Stanley B 2-2 Harworth, Hodthorpe B 2-2 Stanley A. Byes – Bowling Club, Institute A.

In Division One the pendulum took yet another swing this week in what’s turning out to be a compelling title race between Notts Arena and Breakers X.

Between them they have dominated Division One with one of the teams taking the league title the last three consecutive seasons.

However it’s advantage Arena again who look to regain the title they lost out on last season by two points.

Daz Presgrave, Ash Carty and Daz Medcalfe were the winning trio in a vital 3-1 victory over Stanley C.

Meanwhile Notts Arena C did a massive favour to their fellow club side by defeating defending champions Breakers X 3-1 in only their third defeat of the season.

Only the unstoppable Guy Dennis won for Breakers, with Mark Kinnell, Alan Emmingham and Karl Creswick taking the other three frames for Arena C, leaving the gap at the top now three points in the Arena side’s favour.

At the bottom Stanley G backed up last weeks 4-0 win against Dinnington C with another 4-0 victory this time away at Welbeck, moving them well out of the bottom three thanks to the same quartet of Andy Camm, Patrick Gee, Wayne Heath and Russ Cairns.

Knockout Cup champions Notts Arena B remain bottom despite a 3-1 win over Bruce Elliot’s struggling Anston team who now sit second bottom.

Clipstone and Bassetlaw C still teeter on the brink of the relegation zone following a 2-2 draw for Clipstone away at Breakers S.

Bassetlaw C lost out 3-1 to Herbert Brocklehurst, Ade Westwood and Captains Cup runner-up Ian Scott of Warsop WMC.

Other Results: Stanley D 2-2 Welbeck B.

Bye – Dinnington C.
