The Kinder Downfall Fell Race provided the setting for the fourth event in the Clowne Road Runners Grand Prix last weekend.
The race is 16km long with a gruelling 2,000ft of climbing.
Mostly uphill from the start to the 5km mark, the course then undulates round the edge to Kinder Low and for the last 5km it descends back to Hayfield.
First home for Clowne out of a field of 277 runners was Simon Gregory finishing 52nd in a time of 1.27.07.
He was followed by 60th Richard Hind 1.29.31, 87th Steven Battle 1.32.53, 224th Andrew Foster 1.55.42, 232nd Mark Waller 1.57.29, 249th Greg Goddard 2.03.19 and 277th Graham Sheen 2.28.59.
Clowne Road Runners ladies were represented in the Rother Valley 5km Park Run, with Samantha Coleclough producing a personal best time of 24:32.
In other park 5km runs, Mark Baldwin ran the Mansfield course in a time of 21:46, whilst Peter Twigg won the Clumber park 5km Park Run for the second week in a row in a time of 18:22.
Clubmate Lynn Hazelton finished 69th in a time of 30:56.
Parkrun organise free, weekly, 5km timed runs around the world.
They are open to everyone, free, and are safe and easy to take part in.
These events take place in pleasant parkland surroundings.
