Gold medal for Road Runner Robson at Midland Masters Championship

The Midland Masters Track and Field Championships held at Nuneaton saw Jacki Robson take gold for Clowne Road Runners.

She ran a time of 21:05 in the 5000m track event.

The win moves Robson up the UK rankings to number three in the Vets 45-49 category.

The Tansley Hill Run attracted over a 120 runners to a local event held at Tansley near Matlock and organised for local charities.

Two of Clowne Road Runners ladies attempted this tough course and first home was Katy Taylor in a time of 43:31 followed by Paula McPherson 46:12.

With the Rother Valley Park 5km parkrun cancelled Clowne Road Runners travelled to Mansfield Park where Louise Lowe finished with the first lady home in a time of 20:12.

She was followed by Paul Sadler 20:06, Helen Callender 25:13 and Susanne Leusby 25:16.

At Clumber Park 5km parkrun Jordan Street finished third in a time of 18.45, followed by Richard Hind who produced a personal best of 19:29 followed by Steve Battle 19:43, David Hazelton 20:22, Peter Flynn 22:14, John Profitt 25:30, Gemma Hind, who produced a personal best of 27:25, and Jim McIntosh whose 27:59 in another personal best.

No Walk in the Park 5km race, which runs the first Saturday of the month from Queens Park in Chesterfield saw Dan Page make his comeback from injury with an impressive time of 17:13 .

His performance saw him clinch first place whilst his wife Holly Page completed the course in 25:48.

The Derby RAMATHON Half Marathon event attracted 2,772 runners, starting and finishing at the iPro Stadium in Derby.

The route includes the villages of Shardlow, Ambaston and Elvaston and the stunning Castle grounds.

Three of Clowne Runners took part and first home for Clowne was Karen Shipman in 1204 place in a time of 1:55:49, followed by Lynn Hazelton in 1,622 position in a time of 2:02:36 and Graham Sheen in 2,343 position in a time of 2:20:10.

Threshfield near Skipton in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales National Park was the setting for the Wharfedale Trail Half Marathon, which takes in Wharfedale’s finest scenery.

With over 2,000 feet of ascents the route follows well established footpaths, including the Dalesway and Mastiles Lane with fabulous scenery with views from Scott Gate, Mastiles and Boss Moor.

Finishing third for Clowne Road Runners was Darren King in a time of 1:31:40, with partner Julie White finishing 274th in a time of 2:23:18.
