A Worksop youngster brought home a silver medal from the National Trampolining Finals.
Enya Davie faced comptitors from all over England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland at the Telford National Centre earlier this month.
Even getting to the national final was a big ask.
Davie qualified through the Regional Qualifiers, through an inter-regional team event at which she represented Team East Midlands, at Peterborough.
The East Midlands outfit became Champions and the Worksop trampolinist qualified for the National Finals with a top eight qualifing place, finishing in a remarkable fifth position.
And after plenty of hard work and dedication to training at Portland, and Worksop College, it all paid off at the National Finals.
She produced two outstanding routines to finish the individual finals in second place, just 0.8 of a point away from taking the national title and a gold medal.
Her club coach Ray Bevan was delighted with the achievement.
“Well done to Enya for producing some remarkable high scoring routines, gaining 9.0s from the team of national judges. Many Congratulations from the club members and coaches.”
