WORKSOP Dojo’s newly formed muay thai fight team took 12 fighters to an inter-club tournament at the end of January.

The Worksop Muay Thai team took part in the legendary Master Sken’s Academy event, which is designed to encourage new fighters.

Dojo head coach Neil Butkeraitis was delighted with his team’s progress on the day.

He said: “The tournament was attended by several well known clubs with years of experience in the Muay Thai fight circuit.

“We took along 12 fighters who each fought three rounds of C class Muay Thai against a high standard of competitors, and even though official decisions was not given it was evident that the WMT team won the majority of their fights throughout the day.”

“It was a fantastic day with over 100 fighters attending, and our team shown fantastic spirit.”

Four of the Worksop fighters are scheduled to make their competitive debuts in April.

The Dojo’s Muay Thai team are taking on new junior and senior members. For more information contact Neil on 07973 828239.
