A WORKSOP teenager has made his international debut, at the pool table.

Christopher Croft, already a county player for Notts, represented his country for the first time in Ireland at the Home Nations Cup.

Croft, 17, and the England team finished runners-up at the tournament in Dublin, making dad Dean extremely proud.

He said: “Christopher has been playing for about three or four years.”

“I play for Notts as well, so that’s how he got into it. It was pretty emotional seeing him represent his country.”

Croft junior, a student at North Notts College, will return to the international scene in March next year for the European Championships.
