Success at Pierrepont
IN conditions that were warmer than ideal, the Worksop Harriers had a successful evening in the Holme Pierrepont 10km with five runners out of six recording personal best times.
Tracey West was once again the star performer finishing as fourth lady (second vet) in 40:54.
The rest of the club's runners ran their fastest ever 10km race and finished as follows: Dave Havenhand (30th, 38:30, PB), Dave Ward (82nd, 42:17, PB), Jimmy Kelly (152nd, 47:07, PB), Bryan Bonser (153rd, 47:12, PB) and Julie Bonser (38th lady, 47:53, PB).
The Mansfield Half Marathon was also warmer than the runners would have liked and the club's competitors finished as follows: Steve Battle (82nd, 1:28:32), Adele Bryan (317th, 1:46:41), Caroline McGinley (478th. 1:55:12).
There were 794 finishers.
The next race in the Notts Mini League is this Sunday (5th, July) at Harvey Haddon Stadium, Nottingham.
The fourth race in the Notts AAA Summer League is the Harriers' home event at Worksop College next Wednesday (8th, July) and starts at 7:15pm.
