WORKSOP Town footballers kept clear of the winter chills in a warm up session with a big difference on Saturday.
A frozen pitch forced the cancellation of their game at Witton Albion, and so manager Simon Clark took his men to Worksop Leisure Centre for a zumba class.
Club scout Chris Rawlinson videoed the efforts of the first team, who were all happy to try their hand at the latin-inspired dance fitness class.
Midfielder Steve Towers admitted he was a newcomer to the dance, but insisted the players enjoyed themselves.
“We all took to it in good spirits,” he said.
“It was certainly my first time doing zumba, but you have to make the best of it when you can’t play due to the weather.”
“It was a bit of a giggle, and we used it as a warm up for some circuit training and football in the sports hall afterwards.”
Some of the players took to social media site Twitter after the training session to laud the dancing skills of some of their team-mates, in particular 6ft 5ins striker Tom Denton.
Goalkeeper Paul Bastock likening the front man to a ‘plank of wood’.
