A youthful Langold Old Boys side picked up three points from a largely even Worksop Division One clash with Hatfield St Leger.

It was the visitors who had most of the play in the first half, albeit without finding the net.

And before the break Langold were awarded a spot-kick that missed the target.

Langold were a lot sharper in the second half and took the lead through Taylor Dennis who drilled home.

The lead was increased when Andrew Mead lobbed the keeper after a smart one-two in the box.

St Leger were still attacking and pulled one back following a free-kick.

Langold’s nerves were only calmed when Chris Kirk fired into an empty net from18 yards with the keeper out of postion.

In the first round of the Sheffield Junior Cup, Swan Inn were dumped out by a rampant Kilton Rovers side.

Swan Inn started off really well, creating a few chances.

But Kilton Rovers kept them at bay and managed to foil every chance they had.

Kilton Rovers had a few chances themselves resulting in Gavin Mecalfe opening the scoring for the home side.

More Kilton pressure led to an 18-yard effort from James Taylor that hit the net for a 2-0 lead.

Further first half scoring came from both teams, Kirk Walker and Jamie Hawkins on target for Kilton Rovers, and Swan Inn pulling one back.

Like in the first half, Swan Inn began well, but bowed to the superior fire power of their hosts.

James Taylor and Kirk Waller bagged another goal apiece and Shane Frost helped himself to a brace as Kilton Rovers went through 8-3.
