Worksop Town have relaunched their membership scheme under the title ‘1861 Club’ as they seek to raise funds to purchase the Sandy Lane lease.

To become members adults will pay £100, as well as a minimum donation of £25 towards the ground fund.

That will entitle fans entry to all home league games for the first team, Under 21s, Under 19s and ladies teams.

A club statement said they were hoping to remain competitive in the NCEL while also working towards securing their own home.

“Firstly, the £100 Membership will offer affordable football to our fan base, and enable Mark Shaw to assemble a squad that continues our assault at the top end of the NCEL.

“Secondly, the ground donation from members is pivotal to the long term future of the club, and its existence within the town of Worksop.”
