Mark Shaw had the rare luxury of a six-day gap between fixtures this week, in order to get his players back on the training ground.
With no midweek game, the Tigers boss was looking forward to working on the tactics that have helped his men win 4-0 three games in a row.
“We keep trying to fine tune the ideas,” he said.
“It’s a repetitive idea for me, to make sure the players constantly learn.
“We’re working on attacking play and defensive play and I want them to see it as a complete picture.”
“It’s important so it’s an automatic response from them in games, they can see things happening.”
“We’ll just fine tune what we’ve been doing already.”
Meanwhile Shaw was delighted to see Tom Elliott in fine form in the last couple of games, after a spell of interest from Sheffield Wednesday.
The boss said there was no news on a potential move to Hillsborough for the Carlton-in-Lindrick youngster.
“We have no update on Tom Elliott,” he said.
“I think Tom has been playing better, his performances have improved since he hasn’t been going up there.”
“He’s obviously a very good player, he’s got a lot of talent and he’s showing more quality.
“If something happens it’s great for the lad but he’s got to keep working hard and I’m sure his time will come.”
