A SURGEON told Scott Wharton yesterday that his season is over.
The Worksop Town right-back had an operation to investigate the damage done following a fall against FC Halifax Town two weeks ago, and the news was not what he wanted to hear.
The 23-year-old told the Guardian: “It’s bad news really, it’s my anterior cruciate ligament and I will be out for the rest of the season. It could take up to nine months before I’m back.”
“It’s very disappointing, obviously we’re going for promotion and the play-offs and I wanted to be a part of that.”
