Dinnington Town made it two wins on the bounce on Saturday, despite a late revival by hosts Welbeck, in Central Midlands Black Dragon Division North action.

Town won 2-1, the same scoreline by which they defeated Newark Town a week previous.

Kyle Spooner and Chris Kirk put Dinnington ahead and seemingly in control of the game.

Welbeck hit back late on through Ben Simpson, but it was too little, too late and the men from Phoenix Park took the three points back to Dinnington.

The win leaves Dinnington 10th in the table, but with only five points separating them and 17th placed Phoenix.

On Saturday they will be presented with a tough test, when they host Thoresby CW FC, who are second in the league table, but only on goal difference.
