WORKSOP Town’s sanction for fielding a suspended player will be decided by the Evo-Stik League on Tuesday.
Tigers, who are still in with a shot of making the play-offs, have requested a personal hearing, in order to appeal any points deduction – which would end their season.
The basis of the club’s appeal is that they claim the FA did not send through the paperwork to notify them of midfielder Terry Barwick’s suspension.
Barwick then played in two games when he should have been sat in the stands, including a win over North Ferriby United, themselves potential play-off qualifiers.
Worksop take on Bradford Park Avenue on Saturday, a side they can still overtake in the league, and should they win and beat Hucknall Town on Monday they could finish in the play-off places, if other results go their way.
