WORKSOP Town’s play-off hopes were smashed yesterday in Bradford, when fellow promotion hopefuls Bradford Park Avenue thumped them 4-0.
Tigers were just 1-0 down at the break, but further goals for the hosts in the second half and a number of injuries saw them trudge off the pitch well beaten.
Defender Luke Shiels was forced from the field late on, and with both available outfield substitutes already used, replacement goalkeeper Adam Billard had to come into the side on the left wing.
Mikel Suarez was also injured, having replaced Chris Bettney, and so Worksop finished the game with just 10 men.
Tigers finish their season tomorrow at home to Hucknall Town at Cannon Park (kick-off 3pm).
