Worksop Town forward Jack Muldoon has been training with high flying League Two outfit Rochdale.
Mark Shaw confirmed to the Guardian that the player was allowed to spent time with the professional club when convenient for all parties.
“If we have no midweek game or it doesn’t clash with training he’s okay to go and train with them two days a week,” he said.
“His contract runs out at the end of the season and we didn’t want to stand in his way. We want to show we’re a gateway into professional football.”
The former North Ferriby United player has 20 goals to his credit this season, despite playing in a wide right position in many games.
The last Tigers player to go straight from the Northern Premier League side to to the professional ranks was striker Ben Tomlinson, who was sold to Macclesfield in 2011.
