RETFORD Girls have regained second position in the league after beating West Bridgford 9-4 on their travels.

It was a summer’s day in Nottingham when the girls arrived intent on claiming the points.

Amber Ellis got the ball rolling early on with two neat finishes. Bethany Bennett then got in on the act before a hat-trick from Chloe Waugh made it 6-2 going into the break.

A great solo goal from Leanne Neale and another for Ellis completed her hat-trick as Retford ran riot.

Bridgford did reply with two more goals only for Ella Mowbray to smash in a volley to make the final score 9-4.
