WORKSOP Town Under 19s completed their pre-season with a comprehensive 9-1 win over Lincoln City Academy on Tuesday.

The young Imps struggled to cope with the Tigers slick passing and movement at Shirebrook, as Tigers created numerous chances and raced to a 5-0 half time lead.

Although Lincoln pulled one goal back early in the second half Worksop soon reasserted their dominance scoring four second half goals to complete the rout.

Tigers goalscorers were Ashley Jackson (3), James Archer (2), Reece Twell (2), Luke Gulty and Thomas Elliot.

They open their league campain on Thursday night at home to Pinxton, at Shirebrook (7.45pm) and host Southwell City on Monday night (7.45pm).
