Harworth Colliery Football Club are celebrating a new sponsorship deal with a company building homes in the area.
Jones Homes, who are well underway with their development on Scrooby Road, have supplied a new kit for one of the club’s teams.
With three squads playing on a Saturday, two on a Sunday and two junior sides, Harworth Colliery is a well established club and an integral part of the local community.
Jones Homes is supporting Harworth Colliery Reserves, a development side that plays in the Central Midlands Reserve Premier Division and helps young players become used to playing senior level football.
Chairman at Harworth Colliery FC, Jonathan Wilson, said: “Jones Homes’ kind contribution will benefit the club immensely.”
“Funding a kit for one of our teams enables us to divert the monies that we would have had to spend into further improving our performance on the field and behind the scenes.”
“Supporting this team helps the club and all of our teams as a whole.”
Sales and marketing director at Jones Homes, Jayne Swift, said the company was only too happy to help: “With Harworth Colliery FC based close to our development on Scrooby Road, we were delighted to help. “
“We are always keen to support the local communities in which we build and providing support in Harworth was a key objective for us.”
