Worksop Sunday League side Greendale Oak FC have signed a sponsorship deal with Green Piling Limited.

A significant sponsorship deal has been agreed which has enabled Greendale Oak FC to purchase two new strips and a full set of warm-up tops.

The kits are manufactured by Italian sportswear giants, Macron, and prominently show off the Green Piling logo.

Despite an indifferent season on the field so far, Greendale Oak FC are the oldest pub team in the Worksop Sunday League and play in the top division.

“We are particularly thankful to David Green (Green Piling managing director) for his help in setting up the sponsorship,” said Greendale Oak FC manager, Kevin Cookson.

“Of course, we have played on the ‘going green’ angle, but we are delighted that Green Piling’s commitment to grass roots involves us.

“The players are impressed with the kits and the Green Piling logo looks just right on the chest.

“We remain one of the mainstays of the Worksop Sunday League thanks to a number of factors, including tremendous support from the likes of the pub, Rob Dolby Butchers and all involved in maintaining the top class facilities at our Sandy Lane ground.”

Renishaw-based Green Piling are a well established foundation engineering company.
