Bassetlaw Boys enjoyed a double success over Scarborough Boys, winning a six-a-side tournament on Friday night – followed by a 7-5 victory the next morning.
The Bassetlaw A squad comfortably won their three matches in the small sided tounament.
But their unprepared scratch B team struggled, although they improved as the evening went along.
The B team did, however, produce the sensation of the competition in the form of stand-in goalkeeper Jasper Dennison.
The main nine-a-side game the following morning saw Scarborough take the lead against the run of play, a lead that Bassetlaw equalised and then went in front within a minute on both sides of the interval.
Although they were never really troubled after that Bassetlaw were never able to totally shake off a plucky Scarborough team and goals were added at both ends at regular intervals.
Goal machine Kian Smith (4), Bradley Charlesworth (2) and Luke Morris were the Bassetlaw marksmen while Jasper Dennison, promoted for the day, again made a great impact with a string of excellent saves and added an assist with his strong kicking.
On the domestic Bassetlaw Schools Football Association scene, Ryton Park Primary earned their first points of the season with a much improved performance and a 6-3 defeat of Redlands .

The prolific form of Kian Reynolds brought mixed fortunes for Misterton when he hit all their goals in a 3-2 defeat by Clarborough, and a 3-2 success against Thrumpton.
Priory have reinforced their lead at the top of Division Four.
