Striker Tom Denton has become the second of last season’s Worksop Town squad to announce a move to a new club.
The 6ft5ins frontman, who scored 30 times last season for Tigers, has confirmed he is moving to Conference North club North Ferriby United.
Although Worksop have an option on his contract, it is expected that the club will not stand in his way given their current plight.
Denton joins fellow strikerJack Muldoon in moving to play at a higher level, after Muldoon joined League One Rochdale.
The Guardian believes a number of last season’s squad are in talks with other clubs at Conference North level, but many are waiting to find out what Mark Shaw’s plans are at Worksop Town – and crucially whether or not he has a playing budget to work with.
