ON a bitterly cold day at Cannon Park, Worksop Town were bitterly disappointing against Burscough.
Tigers saw today’s Evo-Stik Premier fixture as a ‘must win’ affair, but after 90 minutes the spoils were shared in a 1-1 draw.
Worksop took the lead through Jamie Jackson on 20 minutes, but the striker was injured scoring the goal and had to leave the field.
The middle section of the game saw Burscough pass the ball better, and they deservedly levelled on 59 minutes, Kevin Leadbetter’s cross-cum-shot rebounding off Luke Shiels and into the net.
