Derby double bill in Bassetlaw’s Division One

Retford and Firbeck came out on top of Saturday’s Division One derby games.

At Clumber Park, Retford made 186 for 6, despite Clumber bowler Callum Rutherford taking 3 for 32.

In reply, the hosts were only able to muster 55 before they were dismissed, losing by a chastening 131 runs.

Firbeck took 20 points from their encounter with local rivals Whitwell, thanks in chief to Adam Dutton’s unbeaten 120 in their 265 for 6.

James Hubball added 64, and James Cook 38.

Whitwell were bowled out for just 73 as Chris Tindle took impressive figures of 6 for 10.

In the Championship, Worksop were in commanding form against Glapwell.

Luke Ambrose top scored with 49 in an innings of 182 for the Central Avenue men.

And Glapwell were skittled for 112, Dave Hancock taking 3 for 23 and Tim Smith Junior 3 for 12.

Anston beat Clipstone, by a 10 run margin, Amila Perera scoring 30 runs and taking three wickets.

Kiveton Park had a losing draw with Killamarsh.

In Division Two, Ordsall Bridon II got the better of Anston II by 26 runs.

Division Three side Retford II beat Woodsetts by 32 runs, and in the same league Bawtry lost to Waleswood by four wickets.

Worksop II took 20 points from Everton II, Tim Smith Senior with 6 for 14 in the Division Four win.

Clumber Park II beat North Wheatley with Leverton II by four wickets.

The Clumber thirds lost by 65 runs to Grassmoor II, and Whitwell II were beaten narrowly by Milton II.

Division Six Rockware lost to Aston Hall III.
