Clumber Park youngster Charlie Shelton did his club, and grandfather proud with a record knock against Notts and Arnold Amateurs on Saturday.
Shelton set a new highest individual score for the fourth team in league cricket, when he carried his bat for 136 runs.
This was the first time Shelton had scored over 50 and to reach a 100 was made even more special as the game was being watched by his grandad Bob.
The 136 also beats Bob’s highest score when he played of 128.
Another Clumber Park product, Alex Jervis, recently made his England debut for the Learning Disability XI.
The club, sponsored by the Clumber Park Hotel, continues to invested in the development of local juniors which is bearing fruit in outstanding performances.
