Anston kept up their title chase with a win over Thoresby Colliery in the Bassetlaw Cricket League Championship.

Chasing 206, Amila Perera excelled with the bat, his unbeaten 104 helping his side home with five wickets to spare.

Kiveton Park remain on course for a top half finish after a seven wicket win over Notts & Arnold Amateur.

Their bowling attack took just three wickets, but 93 from Adam Whitely and 81 not out from Matty Cartwright eased Kiveton over the line.

In Division Two, Anston II collapsed in pursuit of Farnsfield II’s 214 for 8. Mark Hallam and Martin Mitchell both took four wickets for the hosts as Aston were all out for just 108.

Kiveton Park’s second side also suffered a heavy defeat, skittled for 105 against Bawtry in their Division Three clash on the way to a nine wicket defeat.

Division Four saw Anston III lose out to Worksop II, Lewis Brearley’s 48 in vain as Anston fell just 11 runs short of their 167 target.

Woodsetts recorded a crushing win over Blidworth II in the same division, Matt Bateman’s 99 helping his side to 250 for 5.

Darron Crookes led the bowling charge with figures of 4 for 17, Blidworth all out for just 99, 151 runs short of their target.

Todwick failed to capitalise on a brilliant bowling performance at Mansfield Hosiery Mills III, Neil Richardson (4 for 11), James Cooper (3 for 11) and Jake Richardson (3 for 16) restricting the hosts to just 58.

But the batting order fell apart, managing just 47 runs before the final wicket fell.
