AFTER the spectacle of BMX racing entering the Olympics for the first time over the summer it was time to journey to Peterbrough for this year's British Championship.
Expectations were high and so was the rider count, with well over 600 participants.
Harworth Hurricanes continued its success of previous years, finishing 5th overall out of the 45 clubs taking part and had some great individual successes.

ownson, aged 10, won his age class to become British Champion for the fifth consecutive year.
Ashby Gibson, currently the club's only female rider, took the title in th 15-year Girls Section after finishing second for the last three years - the win was well over due.
In the 9-Year Boys Section, Ben Turner managed a fantastic ride to take second place.
Previous Bassetlaw Junior Sportsman of the Year Bradley Minns rode in two classes, the 3-year Boys and the Cruiser sections. After 10 races he managed fourth in both finals.
Also doubling up in classes was Anthony Trower, who took 8th place in both his finals.
The club is looking for further success next month with the concluding rounds of National Championship.
Currently both Ashby and Reece are well placed to take these titles with three rounds to go.
