THE ROYAL Navy has provided brand new kits for one of the region's newest football teams.
Worksop, Reford and District Boys Under 12s were presented with their new jerseys at a training session in Retford on Saturday.

Team manager Shaun Donnelly, a current serving Chief Petty Officer in the Royal Navy, told the Guardian: "We just wanted to say a massive thank you to the Royal Navy for sponsoring the team and providing the new kits."

Fellow manager Gary Edwards and first team coach Jules McKay joined Shaun in presenting the kit to the team.

The team will be made up of boys from around 15 of the region's schools and will compete for the very first time next season, against the likes of Sheffield and Leeds.

Shaun added: "The boys are all looking forward to getting started."
