I can wholeheartedly agree with the comments from Geoff Evans (Guardian May 24th) about the flower beds in the library gardens and in front of the Priory Church.
The Parks department has done Worksop proud.
So why has the parks department ripped them all out last week and left beds of brown soil? Surely their spring bedding is not over with just yet. One can understand the flowers being removed if they are going to replant with summer bedding the following day.
The bosses at the parks department need to remember it is the taxpayer’s money they are spending, we don’t wish to see beds of brown soil.
