Sandy Mills and her dog Cinders who was viciously attacked by a Staffordshire Bull Terrier.

On Saturday afternoon, 29th March outside Wilko’s, a dog was attacked by a stray.

Thanks to the people out shopping that helped the little dog, an upsetting and dangerous incident was brought under control.

We all know a dog has the potential to be very dangerous. Respect to the people that helped, they put their own safety on the line to help.

I heard the stray, a Staffy breed had been noticed in the shopping centre prior to this. If this was true, could it not have been reported to the dog warden or RSPCA, are the security guards just there to catch Worksop’s light-fingered?

The soul blame lies with the stray dog’s owner, I know.

Would you take on a dog, we have to admire those that did and won.

It must have been very upsetting for the dog’s owner.
