Half-term was a busy time for the Reception class at St Anne’s Primary School in Worksop as they learned about healthy eating.

The children visited Priory Fruits and The Royal Coffee House in the Priory Centre and learnt a great deal to help them with their Healthy Eating topic.

Inspired, they then opened their own Healthy Breakfast Cafe for their families for a day.

“Using what they saw when they visited the cafe, they used menus to take customers’ orders and their exemplary manners to serve them the healthy breakfast of their choice,” said reception class teacher Lindsey Dilks.

“The children were so excited to visit these local businesses and can’t wait to revisit them to share their new knowledge with their families.”

“Thanks go to these businesses for welcoming the children and helping them to know more about the town and the world in which we live.”
