Manager Harry Taylor, who runs the pub with his partner Elizabeth Fenn, said: “It has been completely revamped, it is a lot sharper.

“It is still a traditional pub.

“We are planning to have lots of theme nights such as curry night, steak night and Italian night.

“Its a family friendly pub and kids are welcome.”

Harry and Elizabeth have about 12 years experience between them of working in pubs - but this is their first shot at managing one.

The pub currently hosts a quiz on a Tuesday, poker night on a Wednesday and a freshly-cooked carvery on Sunday, 12noon-4pm.

A new Christmas menu, which is currently being designed, is set to be available from next week.

“We are excited,” said Harry, who is also a chef at the pub.

“We are working really hard.

“It is an adventure.

“The biggest challenge is that of letting people we are open again.”
