Neither person’s injuries were life threatening but police now want to step up the pace of their investigation and bring those responsible to justice.

“We were called to The Ashley pub at about 6.35pm on Saturday after a report of a woman suffering cuts to the face caused by a broken glass,” said a police spokesman.

“Three other people, another woman and two men, suffered cuts due to glasses that were believed to have been thrown in the patio area of the park.”

“Were you out in Worksop on Saturday evening or did you see the altercation?”

“We are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.”
