Children at Treetops Nursery enjoyed a visit from local police as part of the nursery’s Child Safety Week.

PC Beverly Drabble and PCSO Sue Shaw, members of the Safer Neighbourhoods Team, spoke to children about staying safe and how not to get lost.

The officers brought in uniform and equipment for the children to explore, and a police car made an appearance the following week.

Senior nursery nurse Becky Warnes said: “The children absolutely loved getting in the car and wearing the hats.”

“It was a great day and we’d like to run an event like it again at some point.”
