Worksop: Police found suspected bike thief cowering in a wheelie bin

The 21-year-old was arrested on the morning of Sunday 22nd June by Notts Police on suspicion of stealing a bike from Cash Converters.

The suspect was found by officers hiding in a bin on Clintons Street at 10:30am.

A police helicopter was sent out from Ripley and could be heard hovering over houses in the early hours of the morning.

National Police Air Service (NPAS) Ripley Tweeted: “Just been helping Notts police look for a suspect in gardens in Worksop.”

“Found hiding in a wheely bin by officers on the ground.”
