Worksop: Men injured in car and van crash

Two men have been taken to hospital after a crash on Blyth Road, Worksop this morning (Saturday 22nd June 2013).

It happened at around 6.30am on Blyth Road near the junction with Thievesdale Lane.

Emergency services closed the road while they worked to rescue the drivers.

A car and a van had left the road and ended up in a grass verge.

Police, ambulance and fire crews from Worksop and Tuxford attended the scene.

Firefighters removed the roof of the car to free the driver. The van driver was also rescued from his vehicle.

Both men were taken to hospital by ambulance.

The extent of their injuries is not yet known.
