Worksop: Local sub-contractors and suppliers wanted to be part of major new projects

Sub-contractors and suppliers across Notts are being given the opportunity to tender to become part of a supply chain to work on a range of public sector construction projects in the region.

Jointly hosted by Wates Construction and Scape, which manages the East Midlands Property Alliance (EMPA), the Meet the Buyer event is set to take place on Monday (31 st March) from 8am until 12.30pm at Worksop Turbine Innovation Centre in Worksop.

Suppliers and sub-contractors are invited to the open event for the chance to tender for a range of supply chain opportunities, including Wates’ imminent delivery of the new £3 million Worksop bus station, building of whjh starts in June and will comprise the provision of a new bus terminal with an eight-bus capacity, a waiting concourse and a café and shop on Newcastle Street.

Richard Scarrott, operations director, at Wates commented: “Wates and Scape share a commitment to ensuring we engage a local supply chain in our work and this event is a valuable means of ensuring local companies are aware of the opportunities available to them.”
